Push taps release a measured flow from a button on top of the body and shut off on their own, which suits shared and public facing basins where a tap is likely to be left running. Timeflow push button pillar taps in SS316 stainless steel are listed here, marked lead free, alongside a classic push tap, in chrome and PVD black. A pillar tap mounts through a single hole in the basin, so check the tap hole size and whether the basin has one, two or three holes before ordering. The water arrives at whatever temperature is plumbed to it: a single pillar tap takes one supply, so warm water means a thermostatic mixing valve has to sit upstream of the tap.
