Blue Tiles

Blue ceramic and porcelain tiles, all with a gloss glaze. The shades take in light blue, powder blue, sky blue, china blue, pewter blue, arctic blue, aquamarine, cobalt, petrol blue, midnight blue and blue moon. Formats are 100 x 100mm zellige squares, 50 x 150mm and 75 x 150mm subways, 20 x 145mm and 240 x 60mm sticks, and bejmat subways. These are wall tiles: splashbacks, shower walls and feature panels. A strong blue changes markedly under warm and cool light, so hold a sample against the wall it will go on. Cobalt and midnight blue also read very differently at full wall scale than they do as a sample. On zellige and handmade look tiles the glaze pools unevenly, which is why the shade shifts from tile to tile within a box.
