Square Baths

A square bath sits closer to a plan square than the usual long rectangle, which suits a corner or a wide alcove where a 1700mm tub will not fit. The bath in this group is acrylic, measures 1400mm and is a spa model fitted with 28 jets. Jets run off a pump, so the installation needs a power point nearby and an access panel or a removable skirt built into the surround for servicing. Measure the recess at floor level and again at rim height, since walls are rarely square, and allow a few millimetres of tolerance at each side. Set the waste out to suit the bath rather than assuming the existing outlet lines up, and support the base across its full footprint.
