Limestone Tiles

Limestone mosaic sheets, honed and mesh backed at 305 x 305mm. Two profiles are covered: a fluted sheet, where the stone is cut into half round rods that give a ribbed surface, and a flat sheet mixing rectangles and squares. The stones are Botticino and Utica limestone, both sitting in the beige and cream part of the spectrum. Limestone is soft and porous next to porcelain, so seal it before grouting and choose a grout close to the stone tone rather than a contrasting one. Fluted sheets usually run vertically on a wall or a vanity front, and the rods need to line up from sheet to sheet, so set out from a centre line rather than a corner.
