Farmhouse and Country Tiles

Tumbled natural stone, glazed ceramic subways and travertine look porcelain make up the farmhouse group. Stone comes in 293 x 214mm and 304 x 283mm cuts with a tumbled or honed face, and the ceramic runs to 100 x 100mm squares, 200 x 65mm bejmat and 240 x 60mm subways, mostly gloss. Porcelain floors reach 600 x 600mm and 600 x 1200mm, and there is a 600 x 600mm paver. Colours favour cream, beige, terracotta, green and white. Tumbled stone has soft, chipped edges that want a wider grout joint than a porcelain tile does, so plan the joint per tile rather than across the room. Seal the stone before the grout goes anywhere near it, as a tumbled face is open and holds pigment.
