Mixers and taps for the laundry: the tapware that serves a trough, a tub or a wall mounted laundry sink. Laundry outlets generally sit higher and project further than a basin tap, because a bucket has to fit under the spout and a laundry tub is deeper than a basin. Check how the existing tap is mounted before ordering. A trough with a pressed tap ledge takes a hob mounted mixer through the hole already in it, while a wall mounted set needs the hot and cold outlets sitting in the wall at the right centres, and moving between the two means opening up the wall. Measure the spout projection against the depth of the tub so the water lands in the bowl and not on the front lip.
