Paddington Tiles

Keep the travertine mood and choose porcelain

Paddington is porcelain designed to recreate the soft linear movement of cross cut travertine. It is not natural travertine, so describe and specify it as a travertine look tile rather than stone. The distinction matters: appearance, maintenance and installation advice should come from the actual material. Compare the wider travertine tiles if deciding between natural stone and porcelain, then choose according to the surface, care expectations and variation that suit the project.

Let the colour set the temperature of the room

Beige brings out the warmth in oak, walnut and aged brass. White gives the travertine pattern a lighter, chalkier quality, while Silver Grey feels cooler and more architectural. Dark Grey has greater depth and works well when the room needs a stronger floor or wall surface. Browse beige tiles or grey tiles to compare neighbouring tones, then return to Paddington when the cross cut stone look is the detail that ties the palette together.

Give Paddington's soft veining room to breathe

The indoor range includes 300 x 600mm, 600 x 600mm and 600 x 1200mm formats. The smaller rectangle creates a more familiar tile rhythm, while the larger formats reduce the number of joints and let the soft veining read more continuously. Compare the 600 x 1200mm option with other extra large tiles before settling on scale. Large formats need a careful set out, a suitably prepared substrate and an installer equipped to handle them safely.

Plan indoor and outdoor surfaces as related finishes

Paddington includes indoor floor and wall formats as well as a matching 600 x 600 x 20mm porcelain paver with an exterior grip finish. That makes it possible to repeat a colour across adjoining spaces without assuming the same finish belongs everywhere. For patios, courtyards or pool surrounds, compare the paver with the wider outdoor tiles and confirm the exact variant's slip rating, thickness, exposure and installation requirements. Choose the indoor and exterior pieces separately, then check them together in daylight.

Let the set out follow the veining

A travertine look feels more natural when repeated faces and strong lines are distributed across the surface rather than grouped together. Open several boxes, review the pattern mix and rotate pieces where the design allows. A grout close to the base colour keeps the veining in focus and helps larger areas feel continuous. Before installation, check cuts at doorways, vanities and room edges. Keep spare tiles from the same batch, particularly when the same colour is used across more than one room.
